Situation descriptions for your audience
We write and test several situation descriptions for your product - what it offers, who it helps, when it is needed. After the first weeks we keep the ones that bring clicks and enquiries.
ChatGPT ads are a paid block, clearly labeled as sponsored, that appears under a ChatGPT answer. The person reading it has just asked about what you sell - there is no such moment in a Facebook feed. We are already doing it - the ROIS account is live and our own ad is switched on. It is a new channel alongside Google and Meta, not a replacement for either.
The example is our own ad - the one currently switched on in the ROIS account.

This is what the ROIS ad looks like in ChatGPT - a block under the answer, marked as an ad.
Three variants we are testing
Only users on the free plan and the Go plan see the ads. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts do not. Ads are also not shown to people under 18, in Temporary Chats or, during this test, in the ChatGPT Atlas browser.
In Latvia you can target the whole country, individual municipalities (43, including Riga) or postal codes (697). There is no city-level option for Latvia in OpenAI's system.
Devices: the iOS app, the Android app and web - web covers both desktop and mobile browsers. You can pick all of them or just one.
In Europe the ads are contextual only. What decides whether an ad shows is the topic of the current chat plus basic context - approximate location and language - not the person's chat history and not their profile.
There are no interest categories and no demographics here. Instead there are free-text descriptions of situations (OpenAI calls them context hints): what the product offers, who it helps and when it is useful. OpenAI's own example: not “running shoes”, but “cushioned everyday running shoes for beginners training for their first 5K”.
These descriptions are not exact targeting rules and do not guarantee that the ad will appear in a specific conversation. But the more specific the situation, the more the system has to work with. So we describe the situations where your product is useful - and we write them the way you write a prompt: the more precise, the better.
Audiences from uploaded customer lists are not yet available for campaigns in Europe. That is an OpenAI restriction, not our choice, and we do not promise it until it changes.
We write and test several situation descriptions for your product - what it offers, who it helps, when it is needed. After the first weeks we keep the ones that bring clicks and enquiries.
We prepare several title variants of up to 50 characters with the main point in the first words, because some placements in ChatGPT cut the title short. The description - up to 100 characters.
On screen the ad image is small. We build a square with a 2-5 word hook and the product in the background - no fine print and no pile of elements.
OpenAI's bot OAI-AdsBot checks every landing page. If robots.txt or a firewall blocks it, the ad is rejected. We check whether your page lets the bot in, and fix it if it does not.
We install the OpenAI pixel and events - enquiry, purchase - so you can see what the clicks bring. There is no GA4 integration for this channel, so we add UTM parameters to the links so that ChatGPT traffic shows up in GA4 too.
We set the municipalities or postal codes, the devices (iPhone, Android, web) and the daily budget. We tell you upfront: the platform can spend up to 2x the daily budget in a single day and up to 7x in a week - that is how OpenAI works, not a mistake.
Every week we send a short report: what was shown, what a click cost, how many enquiries came in, what we change next week. Conversation content is not in it - neither we nor you can see it.
The minimum daily budget for accounts billed in euro is 15 EUR - that is OpenAI's published requirement, not ours. Over a month that is 450 EUR in ad spend.
You pay per 1000 impressions (CPM), per click (CPC - cost per click) or per click optimised for conversions (oCPC). OpenAI's suggested starting CPC is 3-5 USD. Those are not Meta prices, and it is worth knowing that before you start.
The daily budget is not a hard ceiling. The platform can spend up to 2x the daily budget in a single day and up to 7x in a week. That is how OpenAI works, and we tell you before day one, not after.
The management fee is not included in the ad spend - we set it after a consultation, depending on how many variants we test.
We recommend a test period of 4-6 weeks. After that there is a clear decision: keep going or stop. OpenAI itself does not publish performance benchmarks yet, so we do not promise a CTR or a cost per enquiry in advance.
The channel is in beta, and we are in it from the start. This is the list of what we honestly cannot tell you today.
No. The ad is a separate block under the answer, clearly labeled as sponsored and visually separated from it. It does not affect the answer text, and you cannot pay to have ChatGPT mention you inside the answer.
No. Neither we nor you can see the conversation content. We only see the totals: impressions, clicks, costs and conversions, if the pixel is installed.

Only users on the Free and Go plans who are over 18, in regular chats. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu accounts, people under 18 and Temporary Chats do not see them. In Latvia you can target the whole country, individual municipalities or postal codes.
SEO & GEO is the work of getting ChatGPT to mention you inside the answer itself, for free; ChatGPT ads are a paid block under that same answer. The first takes months and keeps working without a budget, the second starts showing right away and stops when the budget stops.
OpenAI currently allows a limited set of categories: household and consumer goods, local services, travel and entertainment, digital products and education. Financial, health and legal services outside the US are generally prohibited - individual advertisers are approved case by case. Gambling, alcohol and tobacco, dating, politics and unsubstantiated health claims are always off limits. If your industry is on that list, we tell you before the account is set up, not after a rejection.
If you want ChatGPT to mention you inside the answer itself, without paying for it, that is a different job - SEO and GEO.
